Expert Installation Tip: Before fitting the replacement element, disconnect the cooker from the mains supply and allow it to cool completely. Remove the rear oven panel to access the element, taking note of the wiring connections and cable routing before detaching the original. When fitting the new element in ovens manufactured prior to November 2006, you may need to retain the nuts from the previous part and reuse them, attaching the earth wire securely to one of the nuts. Restore power and run the oven empty at a high temperature for 10 to 15 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residue before cooking.
