Genuine Smeg Cooker Oven Function Selector Switch Potentiometer Part # 816810298

Genuine Smeg Cooker Oven Function Selector Switch Potentiometer 816810298

Genuine replacement multifunction selector switch potentiometer for cookers, ovens and microwave ovens, used to choose between the different cooking functions such as fan, grill or conventional heat. Over time these switches can wear out, become loose on the shaft, or stop making proper contact, which can result in the oven not responding correctly when you turn the dial, or certain functions not working at all.

If your selector switch feels stiff, spins without engaging, or the corresponding function has stopped working, replacing the switch is usually straightforward and resolves the issue. This part is supplied as a single unit, ready to fit in place of the original. Before ordering, check the part number against the one on the switch you are removing to make sure it is the correct match for your appliance.

Key Compatibility:

Manufacturers reuse the same part across many models and change model numbers between production runs, so the safest check is your own model number rather than the brand. Enter it in the checker above and we will confirm against this part.
If you are unsure, message us with your full model number and we will confirm before you order.

Expert Installation Tip: Take a photo of the wiring on the old switch before disconnecting it, as terminal positions can vary and getting them wrong can cause the wrong function to activate.
